4.9 Refund Policy

Students may cancel their enrolment by writing (by letter or email) within eight days of the commencement of their course. The non-refundable portion of fees paid by students is the $100 Administration and Registration fee which is included in the deposit, plus the value of any manuals kept and/or assignments marked at the time of withdrawal from the course. Course commencement is deemed to be within eight days from the date of written confirmation of acceptance of a student. This letter goes out with the student's course materials.

Generous time has been allowed for students to complete their course. Any student who fails to complete their course in the time allowed (see Course Information clauses 3.3 to 3.8) waives the right to a refund of any part or all of the fees paid, unless there are exceptional personal circumstances, such as a serious health issue. Appeal processes are covered in Clause 8.2.

When a student is considering withdrawal from a Jubilee Training Institute course, they should first discuss their concerns with the Dean or the Principal, as well as their Pastor and/or Supervisor. This consultation should occur at the earliest possible date to ensure the implications, particularly for the student, are clarified. Any student who then wishes to pursue withdrawing from their Jubilee Training Institute course should state this in writing to the Dean, the effective date of withdrawal cannot be earlier than the date on which the letter or email is received by the Dean. Upon written confirmation of withdrawal from any course, a refund would be on a pro-rata basis depending on how many assignments have been submitted for marking, less the Administration/Registration fee, and less the costs for course materials retained by the student. A Statement of Attainment listing grades on all assignments completed and marked will be issued to the student in the event of them not completing their course. Used or damaged manuals etc. will not be returnable.

4.8 Pay as You Study Options

Students may choose to pay by lump sum, which will be due for payment by cheque, cash, approved credit card (Visa & MasterCard) or PayPal in full within the 28 days of written confirmation of acceptance for course.

PayPal would be administered by the student, whereas our staff could administer credit card payments from our office, and would email the student confirmation of this each month. Lump Sum payments may also be sent from overseas by Telegraphic Transfer. Details of this and other payment options will be sent with course materials on commencement of studies.

4.10 Student Protection Agreement

The Student Protection Agreement takes effect at the time of the student's enrolment. Jubilee Training Institute accepts enrolment upon receipt of the registration form on the understanding that you have read and will abide by this agreement. This also includes that students have supplied all required documentation and fees which should accompany the Application Form.

By enrolling with Jubilee Training Institute, the student agree to fully pay for the course they have selected. In return, Jubilee Training Institute promises to supply the manuals and all Assignment instructions required for each course, to grade assignments and answer questions about the course, and offer Christian guidance and counsel where required.

Jubilee Training Institute is a Christian institution, and faculty, staff and students are encouraged to maintain a high Christian standard at all times. Jubilee Training Institute's financial accounts are audited each year to confirm their integrity.

Jubilee Training Institute is a Christian institution, and staff, faculty and students are encouraged to maintain a high Christian standard at all times.

4.11 Financial Hardship

In the rare event of an intending student being unable to find the Deposit for fees prior to starting, it is recommended they approach their own church leaders first to request any required financial support. Since these leaders should be amongst those who are referees supporting the student's application, and the student will require supervision for practical work which may best be done within their own church, clearly that church will benefit from a better equipped church member in the future. We recommend churches invest in their own people, in accordance with Ephesians 4:10-16. This could and should include churches subsidising members through useful courses such as these by at very least sharing the costs of the course fees, as well as prayer and moral support and encouragement.

4.12 Guarantee

Jubilee Training Institute will seek to honour all guarantees outlined in this Student Protection Agreement and Academic Rules.
